Jonathan Gilliam is a seasoned security expert, crisis management consultant, and media contributor with an extensive background in military, law enforcement, and federal agencies. He began his service as a Police Officer near Little Rock, Arkansas, before earning his commission in the United States Navy, where he completed Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) training and US Army Ranger School. As a Navy SEAL Officer, Gilliam led counter-narcotics missions in Central and South America.
 
Transitioning to federal service in 2002, Gilliam became a Federal Air Marshal, operating undercover on high-risk flights, and later served as a Security Specialist for the Department of Homeland Security, conducting threat assessments and training soft targets on defense strategies. From 2005 to 2013, he was a Special Agent with the FBI's New York Office, specializing in criminal and counterterrorism operations, leading surveillance, arrests, and large-scale event security. Notably, he coordinated the FBI’s rapid deployment team to Benghazi, Libya, following the 2012 terrorist attack.
 
Since leaving the FBI, Gilliam has consulted on security for major events and high-profile clients, including a prominent country music tour. Currently, he is the Chief Marketing Officer of ConnectZing Media, a partner at Campaign Strategy and Consulting, and a network news contributor with over 1,000 media appearances on major outlets like Fox News, CNN, and BBC. He also hosts The EXPERTS Podcast, a top-rated news commentary show on iTunes, and frequently guest-hosts on Sirius XM for Sean Hannity, Andrew Wilkow, and David Webb.
